Andres Costa and Emily GoodmanOwnersAndres Costa, CPA, founded his firm in 2006, with Emily Goodman joining in 2015 to help shape its growth and operations. After years of working together, Andres and Emily married in the fall of 2023. Together, they have built a modern, relationship-driven accounting and advisory firm focused on helping growing businesses gain financial clarity and spend less time managing their finances. Andres specializes in client relationships, tax strategy, and financial advisory, while Emily leads operations and the firm's commitment to an efficient, proactive client experience. Today, their team provides accounting, payroll, tax, advisory, and fractional CFO services with a personal, "white glove" approach designed to take work off clients' plates and give them confidence in their financial future.  Craig and Stephanie CunninghamFractional CFO & Nonprofit advisor, Marketing & CommunicationsCraig and Stephanie bring more than a decade of firsthand nonprofit and fund development experience to Padgett Advisors, including eight years living and working overseas and in fund development and donor relations. After returning to the U.S., Craig worked as a financial analyst for a global nonprofit and now provides CFO-level financial leadership to large nonprofit organizations, helping leaders strengthen financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and strategic decision-making. Today, they use that experience to provide nonprofit accounting, advisory, and fractional CFO services that give mission-driven organizations greater financial clarity and more freedom to focus on the work that matters most.  Joseph H. Clarke, CPATax ManagerJoe has more than 40 years of experience in accounting and taxation. He moved to Asheville in November of 2007 after practicing in Virginia since his graduation from Virginia Tech in 1970. He was a partner in a Virginia Beach CPA Firm for 33 years and specialized in individual and business income taxes. As the Tax Manager for Padgett Asheville, Joe is responsible for overseeing the areas of tax research, return preparation, and review. Joe enjoys hiking, visiting waterfalls, and camping with his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Mark Codington, CPACertified Public AccountantMark has been working in public accounting for over 30 years, both in California and North Carolina. His emphasis is on individual and business taxation, and tax problem resolution. Mark joined the firm when he moved to North Carolina in 2004. He stays busy after hours making plans to see his children and grandchildren in southern California, and ardently pursuing his favorite hobby, photography.  Shana AdamsOperations and Client Experience CoordinatorShana has spent more than 20 years working in nonprofit management, community engagement, and organizational leadership. As Operations & Client Experience Coordinator at Padgett Advisors Asheville, she helps create the personal, responsive experience clients should expect from a relationship-driven accounting firm. From building strong client relationships to supporting efficient day-to-day operations, Shana helps ensure businesses and nonprofit organizations feel welcomed, cared for, and confident that their needs are being handled.  Mary MooreAccounting ClerkMary brings more than 50 years of accounting experience to the Padgett team, including work with public accounting firms in Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina. She also spent 17 years as Comptroller for the nonprofit Diocese of Venice in Florida, giving her extensive experience in nonprofit accounting, financial reporting, and financial management. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and decades of hands-on experience, Mary helps businesses and nonprofit organizations navigate their finances with accuracy, clarity, and confidence.  Donna RichardsonPayroll ManagerWith more than 30 years in accounting and payroll, Donna has built her career around keeping financial operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly. She began by helping automate accounting and payroll systems for a Fire and Rescue government agency in Pinellas County, Florida, and since 2008 has managed business administration and financial reporting for nonprofit organizations in Asheville, North Carolina. Her expertise in payroll processing, nonprofit accounting, and financial operations helps clients feel confident that the details are handled well.
